- EBCDIC Fonts A set of fonts developed by James Campbell which allow you to view EBCDIC encoded data in an editor which does not have support for EBCDIC like Microsoft Word
One of the things I've wanted for a long time has been a font that displays EBCDIC encodings — so x'40' displays as a space, not an at sign. This is so I can "understand" binary FTPs without the overheads of a hex editor.
Finally I created my own using a set of glyphs from the Free Software Foundation.
Thinking that others might also find these useful, I am offering them to cbttape.org. There are three TTF files:
- ecp00000.ttf — displays A-Z, a-z, 0-9 and (what I think are) unchanging characters
- ecp01140.ttf — displays code page 1140 (which is CP 37 with euro)
- ecp01141.ttf — CP 1141 (=CP 500 with euro)
In each font, the non-characters display their hex value.
